Eric Reference Sheet - OC

 This is my precious OC, Eric, and if you steal him, I will find you and rip your spine out. Anyway, this was a pain in the ass to make. It took all of yesterday and by the end of it my eyes were burning like hellfire. But whatever. Ref sheets are far from my favorite things to draw, but they're one of those things that you just have to get done. 

 Eric's Bio:
Eric is seventeen and lives in an old house by the ocean with his beloved cat, Blinky. Behind his confident, charming, and flirtatious facade, Eric craves attention and is terrified of being alone which can sometimes cause him to become clingy and overly dependent on friends. His parents are frequently gone from the house for long periods of time and his brother, Johnathan bought his hat for him before he was enlisted into the military. Eric has worn the hat ever since, and it has become very worn and dirty over time. If you bring up the topic of war or military, he will suddenly become defensive and react strongly to the subject which often takes people off guard. He is somewhat of a class clown, and has a great sense of humor, often using jokes to break up tension or difficult situations. He has a somewhat optimistic view on life despite his childhood. He is also fairly athletic and is on the high school soccer team and works as a part-time lifeguard during the summer. Eric's friends, Vicky, Travis, Ariel, and Sam often visit his house, sometimes staying the night, as his house often serves as a safe house for them. Although Eric does flirt pretty frequently, he often comes off as being cute and endearing rather than... sexual. He has a huge crush on a popular girl at his school named Aya, (which just so happens to be my werewolf OC >:3) but can never seem to get her to notice him. Eric also finds the time in his busy agenda to tease his friends, often making fake retching noises when Travis and Ariel kiss, or mocking Sam every time she fawns over Vicky. This frequently earns him a playful, but still mildly painful, slap in the head with a book or magazine. 

All About Blinky:

Eric got found Blinky when he was taking the trash out to the dumpster in the creepy, dark alleyway beside his house. He heard a noise and looked around to find a dirty kitten licking the inside of a candy wrapper. Feeling sorry for the poor animal, he picked her up and decided to take her into his house. At first, Eric didn't actually like Blinky, as he thought that her strange, blank stare was unsettling, but gradually he grew to love her and all of her weird quirks. Upon first seeing her, Eric noticed her huge, bulging eyes and unblinking stare and jokingly decided to name her Blinky. Blinky is a strange cat. She does most of the things that normal cats do, such as laying on your keyboard when your trying to type, suffocating you by sleeping on your face or stomach at night, or sticking her tongue in your morning coffee, but she has a wide array of other strange habits, like her annoying tendency to climb into the water as your taking a bath, falling asleep in her water bowl or food dish, or staring at a featureless wall for hours on end.
